Fudgy Chocolate Coffee Protein Brownie Ingredients
- 1 cup Almond flour
- 2/3 cup of your favorite protein powder (we used Orgain Peanut Butter Protein Powder)
- 2 tbsp cocoa powder
- Pinch of salt
- 1 tsp baking powder
- Chocolate chips - measure with your heart
- 1/2 cup brewed of your favorite roast of Long Run Coffee
- 1 egg (or flax egg if vegan)
- 1 tbsp Vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
Optional High Protein Coffee Frosting
- 1/2 cup Greek yogurt of your choice (may use thick non-dairy alternatives here as well). We used Fage 2% plain yogurt.
- 2 tbsp brewed of your favorite roast of Long Run Coffee
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 tbsp maple syrup
- 1/4 cup protein powder of choice (we used Orgain Peanut Butter Protein Powder)
- Preheat oven to 350 F
- Mix all of your dry ingredients together with a whisk until fully combined
- Add your wet ingredients to the combined dry ingredients
- Once a brownie batter consistency is reached, add the mixture to a parchment paper lined 8x8 baking dish
- Top with additional chocolate chips if desired
- Bake for approximately 20 minutes and let cool completely before slicing into squares to enjoy. They will continue to firm up on the countertop as they cool.
- While the brownies cool, combine all frosting ingredients together until fully combined.
- Slice into squares.
